Mega Startup & Expo
Smt.
A.V.D.S. Arts and Commerce College, Jamjodhpur organized a visit to "Mega
Startup & Expo" organized at Smt. R.P. Bhalodia Women`s College,
Upleta on 08/01/2026 with the aim of gaining practical knowledge about
entrepreneurship, innovation and startups. The program was organized as part of
Vibrant Gujarat 2026, which had stalls of startups, handicrafts, book stalls,
food zones, cottage industries and handloom arts. The students learned about
the traditional arts of Gujarat like Kutchhi embroidery and Patola of Patan,
exhibition and sale arrangements were made. A total of 48 students (mainly
final year B.Com. and B.A.) and 3 faculty members from our college participated
in this visit. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with real-world
startup experiences, networking and insight into innovative ideas. The visit
was arranged by the College’s Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP). The
visit proved to be extremely beneficial and inspiring for the students.
